We’re in for another scorching summer day, so I was out for my jog in the cool morning air. I must admit that it was very difficult getting up at 5:30am and I lay in till 6.

I took it very easy today, after shin splint pain yesterday. I walked for a few kilometres and jogged for 8km, practicing rolling my feet and being very conscious of making my running style as smooth as possible so as not to aggravate the injury. It seems to have worked, I only started to feel a little niggle at the 9km mark.

Sometimes it is difficult to get up early, but invariably a little physical cativity wakes you pretty quickly.
