I try to make a habit of writing something on each of our websites at least once a week, but time just totally got a way from me in the last two weeks and I simply forgot to do it.
It happens to all of us. We can get so tied up in the work or the family activities that before you know it, we’ve slipped out of our ‘good routine’ and into a bad one.
Last Wednesday, whilst having my morning shower, I suddenly realised that I had actually got into the shower and completely forgotten to go for my morning run.
So what’s been the problem? Well my routine was totally put out when I was out of town for most of the previous week. Being away from home can really mess with the best-planned routine. In my case I was staying in an area where there was really nowhere interesting to go for a run. ‘? So I didn’t.
Then I got so engaged in new work projects that I simply lost sight of the big picture ‘? my own big picture. This is the third time this has happened to me this year.
Time for me to sit down and look back at my New Year Resolutions (remember all that goalsetting enthusiasm you started the year with?) and rethink my schedule and my objectives.
Monday is the start of a new week, so I’m back on track then.
