We’re taking the kids and the dogs for a day at the beach today. In fact as this is being posted to the site we are already on the road.
I packed the car on Friday night and the kids were all off to bed early. The kids will no doubt squabble in the car, the dogs will be excited – but it is all good fun family time together. By the end of the day we will be exhausted. Our two Labradors will smell of seawater and be covered in sand. The kids could well be burnt and sleep all the way back as I drive home after dark.
Do you remember when you were a kid and did stuff like this? As a parent it can be a real pain at the time, but what is really cool is that we always forget all the bad bits and we’ll be left with some great memories.
