I was feeling very tired this morning. I rolled out of bed at 5:40am and put my jogging gear on, and strolled out the door, gradually working myself up to a brisk walk.
When I got home, I showered and set about waking the kids to get ready for school. Janine had already left and I noticed there were two rashes of bacon in the fridge, so I decided to throw these on the barbecue with some eggs and tomato (anything that uses up our growing pile of tomatoes is a good thing)
Callum, our 17 year old, works at the local cinema, which means we often have to go and get him after midnight. Fortunately, he is fairly reliable at getting up for school in the mornings!
Rather than sitting around at home until midnight and then driving over to pick him up, we usually just go and see the late movie then all come home together.
I think my lethargy this morning came from staying up late for too many nights in a row. Last night we went the movies again to see Duplicity and on Saturday night we had been to see Ast?rix aux jeux Olympiques (with G?rard Depardieu in an unusual role) which was a lot of fun. One of the Ast?rix trailers on Youtube.
It’s now 9am; I’ve had my morning walk and a hearty breakfast – the kids have all left for school and I’m ready to get stuck into the day. 🙂
