I believe that personal fitness is one of the fundamental keys that will enable you to achieve success in life and business.
And, whilst I don’t practice as a personal trainer, I do have a wealth of experience in this field that I am happy to pass on.
If we all paid far greater attention to our health, the cost to society would be so much less, there would be less stress in the world and business productivity would increase.
As the youngest City2Surf Legend, I have nearly 40 years of experience at track and field, cross-country running and, in particular participating in the City2Surf, and I’m happy to provide free training and fitness support based on my experience, via this blog and on Facebook page; ‘Step-by-Step Coaching’.
What I like about events like the City2Surf is that they provide you with a target to train for. Success in life and success in physical challenges such as the City2Surf are all down to your mindset. Not just the mindset required to complete the course, but the mindset you need in order to set and stick to a training routine in the months leading up to it.
Follow along with my training plan
I have put together my own City2Surf training program up as a Google Calendar to share. My training program is for beginners to intermediate. (Remember that you’ll need to navigate back to June 2009 in this calendar)

(Legal Disclaimer) I specialise in coaching people in goal setting and mindset in order that they achieve their best in life and work. Jogging is one of the things I do to maintain my own personal fitness. This training plan is written based on my own experience having run the City2Surf 38 times (at time of writing), and having learnt much from friends and trainers over the years. By profession, I am a personal coach (life coach), not a personal trainer.
