Keeping up with technology

The other day, my friend John asked me how I kept track of people’s names and phone numbers. Every time he has lost a phone, or bought a new one, he gets particularly frustrated by having lost his old phone along with all his contact details. He was astounded when I told him I’ve never lost a number since I first started putting names in my computer. He asked me how I did this.. I said that it was really simple, but a long story...

Janine gets a birdie

When I got home, I showered and set about waking the kids to get ready for school. Janine had already left and I noticed there were two rashes of bacon in the fridge, so I decided to throw these on the barbecue with some eggs and tomato (anything that uses up our growing pile of...

Jogging in the dark

Posted on Mar 26, 2009 in Pondering | 0 comments

Yesterday morning I did my fastest morning jog this year over what I call my 10km route. I was only 20 seconds faster than my previous best – but that isn’t saying a lot because I’m no speedster!! Anyway, I’d decided that this morning was a rest day (meaning no morning exercise) but Janine was up at 5:45am to go to the gym, so I thought ‘what the heck’, and I got up, put my gear on and headed out. My muscles...
